East Yorkshire

Come to the East Yorkshire coast to explore the coves and secluded bays of Flamborough head, the vast golden bays of Bridlington and Hornsea or the dog friendly beaches of Fraisthorpe or Danes Dyke. 
Why not challenge yourself to climb Flamborough lighthouse which is 119 steps and rewards you with fantastic panoramic views of the East Yorkshire coast. 
Danes Dyke woodland leads to a small secluded cove with views looking out towards Bridlington Bay. This cobbled cove at the foot of the woodland is perfect to explore, enjoy the views and the quiet of the waves rolling in. Bridlington is blessed with miles of glorious spacious sandy beach making it perfect for a family day out. Enjoy paddling in the sea, playing sports and making sandcastles. 

Hornsea is a quaint little seaside town around 5 miles from the caravan park with a pleasant promenade and big sandy beaches, you will find plenty of shops and cafe bars here to enjoy, not forgetting the famous Skirlington Market which is open every Sunday. 


Skirlington Market 
Skirlington Market & Car Boot was founded more than 30 years ago and is located on the site of Skirlington Leisure Park..  Skirlington Leisure Park is located near Skipsea on the beautiful East Yorkshire coast has over 70 acres of parkland adjoining open countryside and the sea.. The park has a David Bellamy award for conservation. The leisure site was originally a farm and the market continues to make use of the farm buildings today.  The old agricultural barns have become the large indoor market and now house The Cow Shed Bar, Cafes and a fantastic range of stalls. Locals and holiday makers alike flock to Skirlington year after year and this is why it continues to be Yorkshire's biggest and best Sunday Market & Car Boot. Mr Moo's Ice Cream Parlour
Mr Moo's is an award winning ice cream parlour and cafe located on the beautiful East coast. On the family farm you can try the wonderful ice creams, meet friends or family over a frothy cappuccino, walk down to the beach along the farm walk, and enjoy the wide open skies or rural East Yorkshire where the views seem to go on forever. The ice cream parlour provides both indoor and outdoor seating, its the perfect place to come whatever the weather brings. Adjacent to the large car park is the farm walk that takes visitors through slowly establishing woodland, down to the beach at Withow Gap. There is plenty to see on the walk ranging from a variety of World War 1 & 2 coastal defences to the Royal Observer Corps cold war bunker. The walk leads through open fields with mature hedgerows and dykes which are home to a variety of birds and mammals, the farm boasts several species of owls. 


Honey Suckle Farm 
A family owned farm only 10 mins away near the seaside town of  Hornsea is open from March to September, shire horse and cart rides are a great attraction as well as the huge straw bale play area, forts, teepp's maze, slides and tunnels. Animals include lambs, goats, cows and horses.

Dacre Lakeside Park 
Situated in the nearby village of Brandesburton, There is so much to do for all ages. Activities include Adventure golf, Foot golf, Tennis, Pedalo's, Kayaks, Fishing and Paddle Boards, Dacre Lakeside Park is also home to Bert's Pizzeria which is situated on the lake with seating on the decked area to enjoy the views over the lake. With a food menu offering pizza's, pasta's, Burgers and steaks, not to mention the refreshing cocktails to quench your thirst. The club house hosts a variety of events including discos, live music and karaoke nights. The beer garden is a super sun trap and the perfect spot to watch the local cricket.
